workshops in the forest studio
would you love to try making your own pottery?
here you can get a feel for working with clay in a relaxed setting in the peaceful woods of Skåne

summer workshops are held outdoors in the garden studio & otherwise indoors by the fire
~

beginners introduction to throwing on the potter's wheel -you will learn the basics of preparing your clay & creating a pot!

your ceramic piece will be finished, glazed (you'll have different colours to choose from) & fired for you ready to take home after a few weeks

perfect for 2-3 friends to learn together in a chilled workshop (byob possible) to get a taste of the pottery process
you will learn:
-how to prepare your clay
-wedging
-centering on the wheel
-pulling up the walls
-refining your shape
-finishing & wiring off
you can try making a cup, a small bowl or vase, tiny plant pot or trinket dish - it's up to you! you'll have a chance to look at the different glazes & choose which colour you'd like your pot to be glazed
after your workshop i will slowly dry out your piece & trim the foot (tidying up the bottom of the pot). once fully dry it will be bisque fired then glazed & fired again up to over 1200 degrees c! the process of making ceramics from start to finish is a long one so be prepared to wait a few weeks until your piece is finished. then you can collect it at the studio or i'll post it to you :)
